Specific Assessment Types

Psycho-educational Assessment: Evaluates a person's cognitive, and academic functioning with recommendations based on outcomes often used in educational settings.

Neurodevelopmental Assessment: The assessment includes what is involved in a psycho-educational assessment but then also explores areas related to behavioral, emotional, and/or attention concerns.

Developmental Assessment: Assesses a child's developmental milestones and potential delays. Includes tests if cognitive functioning and may be completed in pre-schoolers as a way to determine current needs and future risks.

Psycho-Diagnostic Assessment: Assessment includes an examination of personality disorders and mental illness also with other measures of cognitive functioning.

Neuropsychological Assessment: Examines cognitive abilities related to brain functioning, often used to assess for potential neurological impairments.

Capacity assessment: Evaluates an individual's ability to make informed decisions regarding their finances or healthcare, often used in geriatric situations.

ADHD Assessment: Identifies possible Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children and adults. Our ADHD Assessments include a broader examination of the overall learning and cognitive profile of the individual rather than only explore symptoms of ADHD in isolation; this helps to identify possible underlying processing issues and/or Learning Disabilities that often co-occur with ADHD. In many cases our practice also uses advanced software to directly measure for ADHD assessment on computer as part of Continuous Performance Testing.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment: Identifies potential signs and symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children and adults. Our practice uses the most widely accepted interview (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised) and observational (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition) tools to gather the necessary data along with other historical and supporting information.
